Kong intertwines two rich histories - that of the grand East London pub, that of the Chinese kitchen.
Housed in a restored Victorian pub dating from 1792, the same time the first Chinese sailors arrived in East London. It traded as the Pewter Platter, The Poet, and the Water Poet. In 2026, it becomes Kong.
Open all day - dumplings at dawn, noodles at lunch, grills and a cold pint at dusk.
